Good evening, Trojans. This is principal Matthew Price with your weekly announcements.

This is a reminder that students are only allowed on the elevator with an approved elevator pass. Please see Ms. LeRoux in student services if you require an elevator pass. Students who are on the elevators without a pass will receive disciplinary consequences. Thank you all for your help keeping our elevators functional for those who require it.

Seniors, we’re excited to announce the launch of our Senior Wall of Honor — a special space dedicated to celebrating YOU and your post-high school plans! You may have seen this already in the hallway leading to student services. We’d like for everyone to be recognized for their plans for the future, whether you're heading to college, joining the military, or starting your career in the workforce.

If you haven’t shared your plans yet, email Ms. Rivera (mnr24@duke.edu) or stop by Room 1107 to let her know. We’d love to add your name to the Wall of Honor — this is your moment to shine, so don’t miss it!

Student Body and Class Officer elections for next year's Student Council will begin on Tuesday, April 15th. Students should check their email for instructions and a schedule. Intent to run forms may be picked up from Mrs. Cottengim in room 4118 or printed from the email. See Ms. Cottengim with any questions you may have.

The Garner Mid-Day Rotary club is awarding $15,000 in scholarships this year to deserving seniors. The Carol Sims Scholarship is worth $1000 and all seniors are eligible to apply. The other scholarships are needs-based. The applications are located in student services with Mr. Brown. There are five $1500 scholarships for students attending a two year school and three $2500 scholarships for students attending a four year school. The application deadline is Thursday, April 17th at the end of the school day. The award will be presented at senior awards night in May.

The Interact Club is collecting shoes for Soles for Souls, an international aid program that provides shoes to less fortunate adults and children. Please consider sending a new or gently used pair of shoes to the giant box or rooms 1110, 2101, 3205, or 4118 through May 9th. Any size, any style, everything helps. THANK YOU!

The school number is 919-662-2379.
