Posted by Matt Price on 5/18/2026 7:00:00 PMGood evening, Trojans. This is principal Matthew Price with your weekly announcements.
Wednesday will be our last 8-period remediation day of the year. It is very important that students are looking at their Infinite Campus portal now to determine if there is anything they can do to get their grades as strong as possible going into final exams.
This is a reminder for Senior parents who are interested in extra graduation tickets that we are offering additional tickets for any parent who serves as a proctor during our exam time. Parents who proctor will have first priority for extra tickets. We will have a sign-up list for all other families requesting more tickets if there are any left over after we distribute to proctors. Please email Ms. Wilmer at kwilmers@wcpss.net if you are willing to proctor.
As we begin to finalize grades, please be aware that your student may be eligible for Summer School. If this applies to your student, you can sign them up on our school website beginning today. Summer School will be held from July 6-31 from 8:30 am-11:30 am and daily attendance will be required. Please see our school website or your student’s counselor for more information.

The clinic is tomorrow at the Southern Regional Center from 5:30-7:30 pm.

May 11-15 is the disconnect to reconnect week. This is Sophia Isenhour's Gold award project. Her goal is to lower students' screen time and help them be aware of their screen usage. All students can do this by scanning any of the QR codes on the posters in the halls. This will take them to a Google form that they can fill out. Then the students stay off their phones for the rest of the week and finish the form to win prizes
These are all the announcements that I have for this week. GO TROJANS!

Wednesday is our 8-period remediation day. Students should be ready to submit any missing work by Wednesday in order to receive credit. Friday is a teacher workday. There will be no school for students.
Seniors: Tomorrow will be the final pick up for Cap and Gown pick up during both lunches. Please remind your student to stop by the Jostens table in the lobby to gather their purchases.
Also…Senior Decision Day is quickly approaching. This event is for graduating seniors and is a time to celebrate you and the post-secondary decisions you all have made. We would love all students and staff to rep their next step gear, whether this is the college you are attending or previously attended, the branch you are enlisting in, etc. Students who preregistered for this event are welcomed to come out on April 29th from 9:30-10:30 to the big gym to celebrate and be celebrated.
Attention rising senior parents: Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 28, there will be an important information session for the Class of 2027 in the auditorium from 6–7 PM. We will discuss our new picture company, Cady, as well as additional senior requirements and reminders. Please be in attendance.
May 5th is the last formal Interact Club meeting right after school. Come enjoy food, friends, and celebrate our seniors in the second floor common area. Don't forget to bring a pair of shoes for Soles for Souls!
There’s still time to pre-order your yearbook for $80! Visit yearbookforever.com to reserve your copy today.
Lastly, as a part of the state wide ‘Protect Our Students’ initiative, and in conjunction with state law and WCPSS Student Services, we are required to show a series of videos to our student body. These will be shown next week on May 5th during class. Our guidance counselors will be on hand to support our students if needed. A parent letter from WCPSS will be included in the digital version of this message (email) that provides more detail.
