Homework is meant to enrich, extend, reinforce, and stimulate regular learning experiences.  Types of activities for homework might include:  reading, writing, math, experimentation, observations, projects, or a continuation of class work.  Assignments will not be used for punishment.  Homework assignments are given Monday through Thursday.  No homework will be given on Fridays, unless a child is making up an assignment.  Students are required to read each night for fifteen to twenty minutes.  Kindergarten parents are to read to their child for at least ten to fifteen minutes.  Teachers will send home weekly folders with student work that was done during the prior week.
