• Each year 4th and 5th graders at ZES can apply to be a Student Ambassador who will represent the school for the school year.  These students meet monthly with the school counselor who is the advisor for the group.  They have ongoing duties such as leading the school in the pledge and raising the flag each day.  They also are responsible for guiding school tours once a month, assisting in the collection of canned goods for the annual Food Drive, and they also help to man stations at the annual Field Day for K-2.  During their monthly meetings, they bring concerns their classmates might have, and the group works on ways to address school-wide problems.
