    Title 1 Preschool

    The Title I Pre-Kindergarten Program is designed to provide a child-centered, developmentally appropriate experience for 4-year-old children in need of academic support. Families experiencing homelessness interested in preschool should contact the School Liaison for eligibility and assistance with the application process. If eligible for the McKinney-Vento Program, the family does not have to provide a birth certificate or proof of residency.

    Special Education Preschool

    Preschool Special Education Services are designed for children ages 3 to 5 with disabilities and in need of specially designed instruction. If a family is in transition, has a child age 3-5 and is interested in exploring if a child may need special education services, please contact the Child Find Office at (919) 431-7700 and ask to speak with the Social Worker. The Social Worker will assist with the process and any other resources needed.

    Community Pre-K Programs

    Wake Pre-K programs prepare children for school through opportunities that enhance children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. Complete an application to apply to NC-PreK, Head Start, Title I Pre-K and WCHS Child Subsidy (assistance with child care cost).
