Welcome to Laurel Park. My name is Heather Millsaps and I love creating a partnership with my students and their families.

I graduated from Lees-McRae College in December 2012 and started teaching Kindergarten at Laurel Park in January 2013. In the following 2013-14 school year, I was awarded the Diane Kent Park first year teacher award. During the 2018-19 school year I was awarded the Laurel Park Teacher of the Year award. I became a National Board Certified teacher in 2019.

My husband Ryan and I are high school sweethearts. We have a little boy named Easton. We love watching Easton grow and explore the world, so we spend a lot of time outside. We have two Labradors named Midnight and Storm.
