I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. My mother was a native of Raleigh and I have, over many years, attended St. Mary’s College for high school, Meredith College for a paralegal degree, NC State ESL in the Masters program and Peace University where I am currently working on dual licensure in elementary education and CCR/SPED. I was a third grade and a first grade Instructional Assistant at Lacy Elementary School in Raleigh. I have lived in this state for many years; I have lived in Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Cary, Wilmington, and Wrightsville Beach.

When I am not at Yates Mill Elementary or doing my assignments for Peace University, I enjoy spending time as a voracious reader, a mother to two sons in their 30s, a grandmother to 2 year old Rose Campbell and a dog mom to Otis and Mabel. I love to travel, play Pickleball with Yates Mill’s very own Cindi Parker and spend time in Blowing Rock, NC and Wrightsville Beach, NC.

I am so glad to be a part of the Yates Mill Elementary School family as an Instructional Assistant this year!
