• General Transportation Guidance

    Dear Garner Magnet High School Families,

    We understand that the beginning of the year delays in bus assignments have caused frustration and unrest. However, please know that your concerns are important to us, and we are working diligently with our District transportation department to ensure every student receives a response to your inquiry and submissions for bus transportation as soon as possible.

    Students who do not have a bus assignment in PowerSchool are based on when you requested transportation service. If your request was made AFTER July 15, 2024 - Bus service for the beginning of the school year is not guaranteed. 

    Based on when your request was submitted, your student may not have received a response from WCPSS Transportation or a bus assignment until AFTER September 27, 2024. Requests are being processed in the order in which they were received. Alternate stops & Joint Custody requests will not be accepted & processed until after Sept. 27, 2024. 

    Please regularly check your email provided during registration for bus service for communication form WCPSS Transporation and/or your student's PowerSchool account under Transportation for a bus assignment.

    The school does not have the ability to assign students to a bus route. Temporary passes are not being issued at this time.

    We urge parents to be patient as routes settle at the start of the school year. Please do not submit duplicate requests as this will delay our ability to respond to your initial request.

    Asignaciones de Autobuses

    • No se aceptarán paradas alternativas ni solicitudes de custodia compartida hasta después del 27 de septiembre de 2024.
    Comunicación y Actualizaciones
    • Revise periódicamente el correo electrónico proporcionado durante el registro para obtener comunicaciones de WCPSS Transport y actualizaciones de asignación de autobús en PowerSchool.
    Importante
    • La escuela no asigna rutas de autobús.
    • No se emiten pases temporales en este momento.
