Principal

My name is Kris Clark and I am excited and honored to be the Principal of Fuquay-Varina Middle School (FVMS). I am from Lexington, SC where I graduated from Lexington High School.  I went on to attend The University of South Carolina where I majored in Mathematics and played four years of football under Coach Lou Holtz and Coach Steve Spurrier.  My educational journey began in 2007 at White Knoll High School in South Carolina.  In 2015, I received my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Regents University in Virginia.  I served as an Assistant Principal at Fuquay-Varina High School for four years before being named the Principal at Fuquay-Varina Middle School in 2019.    

It is because of the high-quality K-12 education that I received as well as the post-secondary education that I am fortunate to lead this great school.  I believe it is also because of this sound education that I have been able to accomplish my dreams and goals in life.  As a result, it is my belief that every student, no matter their race, gender, socio-economic status, or academic level deserves and should receive a high-quality education.  Furthermore, it is my mission to ensure that every student that walks through the doors of Fuquay-Varina Middle School is afforded this opportunity. 

My desire for every student that attends Fuquay-Varina Middle School is that they will feel and know these three things; 

• I want every student to know they are Celebrated.  I want every student to know they are seen and valued for who they are as individuals and for the unique talents and gifts they bring to FVMS.
• I want every student to know and feel they are Challenged both academically and socially. I want every student to leave FVMS with the knowledge and skill set to not only be prepared for high school but for life.  I also want our students to be well rounded respected individuals with the compassion to help someone in need but the drive and determination to be their best every day. 
• I want every student to feel Connected to our school. I want every student to know there is an adult they can turn to at our school as well as something for them to participate in to showcase their gifts and talents.   

Academic excellence is the standard at Fuquay-Varina Middle School, and I will work to ensure that every student is able to learn, grow, and accomplish their dreams and goals in life.  I am honored and thankful that I have been called to lead this great school.  Thank you.
