Science Teacher

This is my 16th year teaching at FVMS.  I was honored to be named the FVMS Teacher of the Year for 2016-2017.  Prior to teaching, I was an Ichthyology (Fish) Research Assistant with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.  I am a graduate of NC State University <Go Pack!>.  Originally from the NC mountains, have been married for 17 years, and I have two wonderful children.  Mason is 14 and Sadie is 10.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, reading, sewing and quilting.  I follow ACC and Fuquay sports.  I also cheer for the Athens Drive High School football team because they have an awesome head coach (my brother).
