Hello! My name is Nancy Haight and I am a third grade track 3 teacher here at Laurel Park Elementary. When we moved here in 2011 my children attended LPES and I started as a parent volunteer, then an instructional assistant, and now a teacher. I have been teaching third grade here since 2016 and love it! Third grade students are at a great age and the curriculum is so interesting. I have a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from Virginia Tech. I am working towards completing my National Board Teaching Certification.

I enjoy spending time with my husband Jonathan and our grown children - Jessica, Nathaniel, & Joshua. My hobbies include swimming, sudoku, gardening, organizing, British TV mysteries, serving in the nursery at church (I love babies!), and painting in our house.
