Ruth Anne Rogers
Ms. Rogers is joining CCMMS as a 6th grade science teacher. She has recently moved to Raleigh, after teaching science in grades K-5 in Charlotte. Ms. Rogers believes that students learn best by applying scientific concepts to hands-on experiments. She looks forward to helping Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School's Innovators learn and grow. Ms. Rogers has earned a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina, a Master's of Arts and Teaching Degree from North Carolina State University, and has completed post-baccalaureate courses in Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics at the University of Maryland, College Park. Ms. Rogers is married to a US Navy submarine veteran and has 2 daughters and a very cute, but mischievous, 6 month-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her family has lived in most states on the eastern coast of the US. When not working, she loves to spend time with her family, reading, cooking and going for walks at the beach or lake, with her puppy in tow.
