Rescheduled! Teen Court Volunteer Information Session
Teen Court is an alternative justice program that practices implementing restorative rather than punitive justice for youths with misdemeanor offenses. The main goal for this program is to help youth in Wake County get back on the right track and learn a lesson from their actions rather than having a criminal record and experiencing the juvenile justice system at a young age. One of the main components of restorative justice for youths is respecting their right to be tried by a jury of their peers. This means that the Jury, Bailiff, and Attorney positions are all held by local youth volunteers. Representatives from Teen Court will be on campus December 18th during A Lunch to speak about volunteer opportunities. Please sign up in AllTimely under Ms. Merry.

We're also collecting the following items for student activities: regular popsicle sticks, school glue, sequins/pompoms, acrylic paint, paintbrushes, and thin ribbon. Please drop off in the front office. Any donations are appreciated!

Schedule Change Request Process for 2nd Semester: We will have a brief schedule change request window in January to address any rigor level changes for core classes only. Students must fill out the schedule change form that will be sent out January 9th and have a priority deadline of January 20th to be processed by the first day of 2nd Semester. We are unable to consider schedule change requests made outside of this form - any requests sent through email will not be considered. Elective change requests will not be considered due to space limitations. **Please note, submitting a request does not guarantee a change will be made to your schedule. Rigor changes in non-combo classes (i.e. Math and AP courses) are subject to space/availability within your schedule.**
