Calling all DADs!!! Dads, please join us in cheering on our 3rd-5th graders before their EOGs. They have worked extremely hard this year. And we know that students (and teachers) are nervous on those days. Please come out and cheer them on as they enter the building. We hope to line the sidewalks with dads cheering and giving high fives to our awesome students. 3rd and 5th grade dads, please come out Thursday, May 26th. 4th and 5th grade dads please come out Wed., June 1st. Please arrive before 8:45 and plan on standing outside until 9:15.
Please do not forget that we will not have school next Monday, May 30th in honor of the Memorial Day Holiday. School will be back in session on Tuesday, May 31st.
We want to remind everyone as it continues to get warmer and we get closer to the end of school and everyone is beginning to get in vacation "mode", that students still need to be wearing appropriate clothing to school. Please review with your child our dress code policy located in the front of our student agendas. Students should not be wearing flip flops/sandals without a strap across the heel to school (even if they do not have PE, they have recess and an open toe or flopping shoe could cause an injury).
And speaking of the end of the year, parents, WCPSS Transportation is working with our communications department to prepare for next year. Post cards were mailed to families beginning last Friday, May 20th communicating information that they have about your child's routing information for buses. Beginning today, you will be able to access a form for Bus Rider Registration on the district's website for transportation eligible families. Please go to www.wcpss.net/busrider to update your bus service needs. If your information stayed the same, you do not need to update.
