Kamilla Wright is a Raleigh native and proud graduate of WCPSS. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from North Carolina State University and began her teaching career in 2001 as a Teach For America corps member in Eastern North Carolina. In 2004, Ms. Wright joined the district, teaching math at West Cary Middle School through 2024. During the 2024–2025 school year, she completed her administrative internship at Leesville Road High School as a North Carolina Principal Fellow and is a proud member of the NC State University Class of 2025. Ms. Wright is deeply committed to creating safe, engaging learning environments for all students, ensuring equitable access to success, and supporting teachers in growing their craft to better serve every child.
