  • The SAT is a standardized, multiple-choice test with three sections: critical reading, mathematics and writing.

SAT SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AT UNC COLLEGES

  • For students entering the Fall 2026 semester and beyond: 
    1. High School GPA: A minimum weighted GPA of 2.5. 
    2. Standardized Test Scores: Students with a weighted High School GPA greater than or equal to 2.50 and less than 2.80 are required to submit a standardized test score of a 17 or higher on the ACT or a 930 or higher on the SAT.
