What coursework options are available?
There are two learning modalities for coursework:
- Virtual Learning via Google Meet sessions
- In-person sessions

When can I apply for CCTI: Wake-Durham?
Each year, we accept candidates for the Fall cohort and the Spring Cohort.*
- The application window for the Fall cohort is February 1 - March 31.*
- The application window for the Spring cohort is September 1 - October 31.
*SPED GC applicants are only accepted in the Fall cohort

How can I qualify for a residency license?
You must meet four criteria:
- Have a bachelor’s degree (any field) with a minimum GPA of 2.7
- Provide proof of 24 completed credit hours or earned a passing score on the NC content exam for my licensure area
- Be recommended for hire as a WCPSS teacher
- You must enroll in an NC-approved educator preparation program (EPP). CCTI: Wake-Durham is one of these EPPs. All NC-approved EPPs are found on this NC DPI webpage.

What if I don’t meet the residency licensure requirements? (Select the area that applies to you)
Select the area that applies to you:

I don’t have the 2.7 GPA.

We will review your application and in some cases can offer a GPA boost to support you with your GPA.

OR
-
I do not have the 24 credit hours nor a passing score on the NC content exam.

If you have an Emergency License we can review your application and in some cases offer you enrollment while you work on passing the content exam.
