African Student Organization (ASO)
Purpose: To promote African culture and education, giving African students here at Southeast a place to connect and non-Africans an opportunity to learn more about different cultures and also participate in fun activities.
Meeting Details: Every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month, 2100 Hallway - Learning Space Upstairs, 2:40 pm - 3:40 pm
Membership: Members must attend at least three meetings a quarter.

Aiming High After Hours (AHAH)
Goal: Our goal is to reach students who participate in ANY after-school program who may need what we offer: life skills activities, health-related enrichment opportunities, fun, food, and tutoring support in all subject areas.

Bionic Bulldogs
The Bionic Bulldogs are our school's robotics club, which is open to all students. We build robots and learn about construction and programing. The exclusive Bionic Bulldog Competition Team, a branch of our robotics club, competes under the parameters of FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and meets more frequently than the general club in order to build, code, troubleshoot, and anything else needed to prepare for competition.

Bulldog A Capella is a way to give students additional musical opportunities with singing throughout the school year.
Meetings: Wednesdays, 2:30-3:00 in the Chorus Room

Bulldog Book Club
The Bulldog Book Club gets together monthly to discuss student-selected books that we read together for leisure. Our club is open to all grade levels! If you are interested in joining us, please pass by the Media Center or fill out the form on our website (linked below).
Meetings: Usually the third Thursday of each month in the Media Center from 2:35-3:30. This year, we will be adding podcasting to our book club meetings. Come join us and decide on great books, participate in discussions, and create a podcast to share!

Bulldog Student Ambassadors
Purpose: Support, Promote and Advocate for SRMHS
Meetings: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Membership: Students must uphold the values and mission of the school while operating with excellence and integrity in school and within the community. Students must attend meetings as scheduled. If there is a schedule conflict, student must meet with the advisor for updated information.
Activities: Offer tours to interested parents and students, support information sessions and promote our school's excellence (internally and externally).

Sci-Dogs- Environmental Science Club
What is the Earth and Environmental Science Club?
Students with an interest in science, primarily with a focus on Climate & Earth Science, will engage in conversations about current events in science, gain community service credit by giving back to our community with school/community trash clean-ups, start more extensive recycling program (plastic, cans, cardboard, etc.), perform club projects that also give back (example: ecobricking, citizen science, start school/community garden), support each other with homework help, experience science via field trips or hear from guest speakers, etc.
Membership: Students must attend 1 meeting per month to remain active.
Meetings: 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Monday after school in Mrs. Arnold's classroom (2309)

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
Purpose: To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.
Meetings: Wednesday mornings, 6:55 to 7:20 am

Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA)
Purpose: To provide a safe space for LGBTQ students and their allies to discuss topics and advocacy of interest to the LGBTQ community.
Meetings: Thursdays, Room 309- 2:45-3:45

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)
Purpose: The purpose of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) organization is to develop leadership and technical HOSA skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program.
The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students...therefore, helping the students meet the needs of the health care community.
The goals that HOSA believes are vital to each member are:
To promote physical, mental and social well-being.
To develop effective leadership qualities and skills.
To develop the ability to communicate more effectively with people.
To develop character.
To develop responsible citizenship traits.
To understand the importance of pleasing oneself as well as being of service to others.
To build self-confidence and pride in one's work.
To make realistic career choices and seek successful employment in the health care field.
To develop an understanding of the importance in interacting and cooperating with other students and organizations.
To encourage individual and group achievement.
To develop an understanding of current health care issues, environmental concerns, and survival needs of the community, the nation and the world.
To encourage involvement in local, state and national health care and education projects.
To support Health Science Education instructional objectives.
To promote career opportunities in health care.
Meetings: Thursdays after school in Room 309
Membership: Members must regularly attend meetings and participate in HOSA events at school.
Dues: HOSA dues are $20 and are split between the national chapter and the regional chapter

Japanese National Honor Society (JNHS)
Purpose: The Japanese National Honor Society (JNHS) recognizes and encourages achievement and excellence in the study of the Japanese language. JNHS is a way to recognize outstanding students, to encourage them to continue in the study of Japanese, and to promote activities that give students ways to use their language skills.
Meetings: Will be decided by the officers of the club but will be monthly
Membership Eligibility Requirements:- Have completed at least Japanese 2 with a GPA in Japanese of 3.5
- Must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Complete 15 hours or more of community service (At least 5 hours of service that is Japanese related.
- Attend the meetings monthly and actively participate in the activities throughout each year.

National Art Honor Society (NAHS)
Purpose: To Promote the visual arts in the community at largeMeetings: Thursdays 2:30 -3:30
Membership: SRMHS Art Club Bylaws (DAC)
Section 1. To remain a member in good standing, a member must pay dues and complete a minimum of 10 service hours in the visual arts each year.
Section 2. Annual dues of $20.00 will be collected from each member. This fee covers: All membership fees with the national association, for the club. The cost of Student’s T-shirt which is required for events outside of school. The end of the year certificate ceremony’s refreshments, activity supplies, and certificate costs. Seniors add $12 to their dues for their honor cord for graduation. Due on or before (DATE TBA) by digital fee collection. If you cannot pay digitally and MUST pay in cash please let me know so I can make arrangements.
Section 3. Attendance is required at meetings to maintain membership and privileges. You must attend a minimum of 70% of club meetings to stay in good standing.
Section 4. All members must participate in 70% of our projects, activities, and fundraisers.
Section 5. For the DAC officers, attendance is also required at any executive meetings called outside of the regularly scheduled meetings.
Section 6. To graduate with NAHS honors and earn the right to wear a cord, pin, or tassel at graduation, a member must remain in good standing the semester before the graduation date.
Section 7. Members must retain C or above average in any art courses they are currently enrolled in.
Section 8. Members must have and maintain a 2.0 weighted GPA cumulative average in all other subjects
Section 9. Members may remain active during such time when there are no visual arts on their class schedules as long as they fulfill all of the other requirements each year.
Section 10. In the event of an infraction of rules, a review by the officers and sponsors will be conducted. If the individual in question is an officer, he/she will not participate in the decision-making process. This applies to all community laws as well as school and chapter rules.

National Beta Club
Purpose: Founded on the following four pillars: Achievement, Character, Leadership, & ServiceMission Statement: To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among secondary school students. To reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.
Vision Statement: National Beta, a student-centered organization, continually develops and nurtures individuals by providing opportunities and experiences, enabling them to demonstrate the ideals of character, achievement, service and leadership in a global community.
The club's goals/objectives include volunteering for works of service in whatever form that the students are able to serve. A goal of 40 hours during the course of one year is set, but not required. This includes voluntary service to the school, community, and other students.
Membership: New membership includes an application, teacher recommendations, must be a student in good standing (grades), and an initial $32.00 membership fee. Continuing membership fee is $5.00 per year.
Meetings: Meetings are held during lunch periods once a month in the Media Center.-

National Honor Society (NHS)
Purpose: The purpose of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.
Membership:
- Section 1. Membership in this chapter is an honor bestowed upon deserving students by the faculty and shall be based on the criteria of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
- Section 2. Membership in this chapter shall be known as active, honorary, and alumni. Active members become alumni members at graduation. Alumni and honorary members have no voice or vote in chapter affairs.
- Section 3. Eligibility: Candidates eligible for selection to this chapter must be members of the sophomore, junior, or senior class. To be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must have been enrolled for a period equivalent to one semester at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School. Candidates eligible for election to the chapter shall have a minimum weighted, cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Upon meeting the grade level, enrollment, and GPA standards, candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, and character.

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)
Purpose: To honor student achievement and leadership, promote educational excellence, and enhance career opportunities for career and technical students who embody seven attributes: leadership, scholarship, skills, honesty, citizenship, service and responsibility. In addition, NTHS advocates for and empowers all students to pursue the skills needed to build their careers and global workforce.
Membership- An honor bestowed upon deserving students through the recommendation of a CTE teacher. Students must exhibit the criteria of leadership, scholarship, skills, honesty, citizenship, service, and responsibility.
- Membership in this chapter shall be known as active, honorary, and alumni. Active members become alumni members upon graduation. Alumni and honorary members have no voice or vote in chapter affairs.
Eligibility: Candidates eligible for selection and membership to this chapter must meet the following criteria:- Be members of the sophomore, junior, or senior class.
- Have been enrolled in a CTE course and pursuing a CTE pathway at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.
- Have a minimum unweighted, cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for their CTE courses and a minimum unweighted, cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale overall.
Upon meeting the grade level, enrollment, and GPA standards, candidates shall then be considered based on the recommendation of their CTE teacher.

Speedcubing Club
What is Speedcubing? Check out this video
Purpose: To learn and practice various methods, techniques, and strategies for solving a Rubik's Cube as quickly as possible. It will give students a fun and engaging opportunity while also building their puzzle solving skills. There will also be at least 1 tournament each semester that simulates an official WCA (world cubing association) tournament.
Meetings: Every Friday after school

Tabletop Club
Purpose: This is a social club where the students play board games and tabletop RPGs.
Meetings: We meet on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:45 in Room 2106.

Technology Club
Purpose: The goal of this club is to increase and diversify the technical knowledge of its members. We want to show students the importance and various applications that you can use with a computer. It is also a chance for the members of the school to learn to appreciate and have fun with the technology placed in front of them.
Students will learn to appreciate and enjoy a variety of software applications and technologies including such technologies as web design, program design and modification, video games and multimedia presentations.
The members will be given an opportunity to build a computer system from the chassis up including installing all components and operating system and testing the completed computer.
The club will also allow its members to pursue projects and personal endeavors.
Membership: Students will be required to attend meetings on a consistent basis. Students who do not will not be allowed to participate in club activities.
Meetings: Meetings will be voted on and scheduled according to the majority's schedule.

Yearbook
Yearbook is a class that provides high school students with the opportunity to assist in sales, photography, and design. Students help to promote the yearbook sales by making posters and distributing information. Students also assist with designing the pages of the yearbook.Yearbook is a class open to 10th-12th graders by application only.

Youth Activism Club
Purpose: Students will teach peers about...
- current affairs pertaining to human rights
- the issues surrounding the community
- how to be involved in the community
- how to be an activist and
Allow peers to be immersed in advocacy and understanding the necessity for human rights awareness and provide volunteering opportunities.
Meetings: Every Monday in Room 405 from 2:35-3:30
Proposed Activities:
Visits from various people and organizations about what they do and how it impacts the community. Every meeting will have a specific discussion about a current affair/issue or aspects of human rights. Go as a group to volunteer/ campaign and design posters for the school to see. Watch school-appropriate informational documentaries and discuss them...different groups within the club that will focus on one thing.
