My name is Edwin J. Campbell Jr. also known as E.J.  I am a dean of School Climate and Culture and I am also the Head Football Coach.  I have been in education for 9 years.  My educational career started out as a teacher’s assistant. 

I have worked in 3 different school systems in NC (Johnston County Schools, Wake County Public Schools, and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools).  I have a passion for building relationships and helping young people set goals and accomplish them.  I am also a Southeast Raleigh Magnet HS graduate class of 2007.  I am married with one child.  My wife is also a graduate of Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.  Go Bulldogs! Hello! My name is Ms. Larissa Purvis. I was born and raised in Bethel, NC. However, I resided in Greensboro, NC upon graduating from college.

I have been an educator for the past 22 years. I have taught and worked with almost every age group as well as teaching Freshman Composition I&II at NC A&T State University since 2016.

I have a BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have a MA in Secondary Education from North Carolina A&T State University. I also have a MS in K-12 Education Studies from Capella University.  Last, I have a MA in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. 

My role this school year is Dean of Climate and Culture. I am grateful for this opportunity.
