AP Exams - Important Next Steps and Dates: AP Exams at FGHS will begin May 14th. Any student currently registered to take an AP Exam should follow these instructions to ensure they are able to test without issues on test day!
    • Open Bluebook on your WCPSS Chromebook (it should be one of your apps within your Chromebook menu) to automatically download any updates to the testing software.
    • Double check your College Board account login and password. You will need this to login to your exam! If you are having issues accessing your account, you will need to contact College Board - FGHS does not have access to your College Board account. Turn off your Multi-Factor Authentication option within your account. You will not have access to your phone during testing to be able to do this.
    • You must test using your WCPSS Chromebook. Personal devices will not be permitted in the testing room. If you have an issue with your Chromebook, please see the media center ASAP. Chromebooks should be fully charged the day of testing.
    • Exam schedule is determined by College Board - there will be no rescheduling.
    • Students will receive their testing locations the day before their scheduled exam to the email they registered on College Board with, so this may be a personal or parent email instead of their WCPSS email.
    • If students wish to cancel their exam or do not show for scheduled exams, they will be charged a $40 cancellation/no-show fee. Please email Ms. Merry (jmerry@wcpss.net) for any cancellations.
    • Students must report to their testing location on time (7:15am for morning exams, 11:15am for afternoon exams). Showing up late will result in a no-show fee of $40.
    • AP Human Geography is our only afternoon exam (May 18) and it will run past the final bell. Students will need to arrange transportation after school on this day if they are taking this exam.
    • If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Merry - jmerry@wcpss.net.

We are thrilled to share some exciting news—Felton Grove High School has officially partnered with the North Carolina Department of Transportation through their Adopt-A-Highway program!
This meaningful initiative, established in 1988, brings together more than 120,000 volunteers across North Carolina to help keep our roadways clean while saving taxpayers millions of dollars each year. We are proud to have our FGHS Clubs and Organizations join this statewide effort to make a difference in our local community.
Through this partnership, our students will have the opportunity to represent their clubs while giving back in a hands-on way. By participating in roadside cleanups, students can also earn valuable volunteer hours that may count toward class or organizational requirements.
Even more exciting—we are opening this opportunity to families of students involved in our FGHS clubs and organizations! We warmly invite you to join us, work alongside our students, and help support both our school and community.
FGHS has been assigned a designated 1.8-mile stretch of roadway, beginning at the start of Stephenson Road off Sunset Lake Road and continuing to Smith Road. A recognition sign will also be installed to highlight our school’s participation—what a great way to showcase FGHS pride!
Cleanup events will take place once per quarter, typically on Saturday mornings, and will last approximately two hours. Our first cleanup is scheduled for May 30th from 9:00–11:00 AM, and we would love to see strong participation from both students and families.
    Important details:
    • Participation is capped at 25 students per event to ensure safety and efficiency
    • School staff members will also attend to provide additional support
    • All supplies (gloves, trash bags, and safety vests) will be provided
    • Students should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
    • Volunteers MUST BE at least 12 years old to participate
    • A parent/guardian waiver is required for volunteers under 18
A sign-up form will be shared with all club and organization advisors as well as FGHS families soon, and additional details will be communicated as we get closer to the event.
We are incredibly excited about this partnership and the opportunity it provides for our students and families to come together in service. Thank you for your continued support of FGHS—we look forward to seeing many of you out there making a difference with us!
