Ms. Kelly Esposito
Hi! My name is Mrs. Esposito and I am a third grade teacher at North Ridge Elementary. I am from New York and attended State University of New York at Cortland for my Bachelors degree in Special Education K-6. I also attended University of North Carolina at Wilmington for my Masters degree in Literacy and Language. I have been teaching since 2014, and I have taught CCR, 4th grade, and 3rd grade.
I live in Raleigh with my husband Craig and our puppy Gus. I enjoy reading and going to the pool or beach. I am also a huge Swiftie!
My favorite part about teaching is helping students grow academically and socially throughout the year.

Mr. Charles Hassell
Hello! I have been an elementary school teacher since 2004, and at North Ridge since 2021. I have a Master’s in Early Childhood Ed, and a B.A in English. I grew up in Raleigh, and graduated from Enloe HS in 1997. My wife Carolyn (also a Raleigh native) and I have two daughters, Doris and Genevieve. Our family enjoys hiking, swimming, traveling, and playing outside. In my personal time, I like to play music, read, and socialize.

Ms. Debra Kivuti
Hi, I'm Miss Kivuti (pronounced Key-Voo-Tee) and I was born in Kenya, but grew up here in North Carolina. I graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2018 with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in Children's Literature. This is my sixth year teaching. Previously, I taught Kindergarten and second grade. This will be my third year teaching third grade! I believe education is a powerful tool and I feel so privileged to play a role in students' growth and development. Looking forward to another great year!

Hello! My name is Meghan O'Ferral and I am a second grade teacher at North Ridge. I am excited to be a part of the unicorn family and I am looking forward to a great year!
I am from Raleigh, and I am a proud product of WCPSS. I attended King University in Bristol, Tennessee, where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education while playing collegiate soccer. I began teaching in 2021 and have previously taught third grade.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing sports, going on walks, spending time with family and friends, and playing with my two German Shepherds, Striker and Izzie.

Ms. Mariyah Storrs
Hello families! My name is Ms. Storrs and I am a recent graduate of ECU. Go pirates! I am so excited to be here at NRES to begin my teaching career. I grew up here in Raleigh and graduated in 2019 from Sanderson High School. I love to cultivate kindness and build a love for reading and literature within my classroom. Creating a comfortable, safe place for students while they learn is a priority. Go Unicorns!
