Mr. John Buccellato
Greetings Unicorns! My name is John Buccellato pronounced (Boo/che/lot/O) but everyone simply calls me "Mr. B."
I started teaching at North Ridge Elementary in 2011 and I am super excited to be back again. I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade, but fifth grade is by far my favorite grade to teach. One of my favorite things about teaching fifth grade is helping students prepare and get ready for the challenges of middle school all the while finishing off their elementary school journey with a learning and fun-filled send off.
I have earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance for Hofstra University in New York and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Meredith College right here in Raleigh. Although I am New Yorker through and through, I have lived in Wake Forest since 2002 with my wife Donna and our 3 now grown children. I am a huge sports fan and love discussing just about anything sports related with my students.

Mrs. Amy Gotshalk
Hello! My name is Amy Gotshalk and I am so happy to be teaching fifth grade at North Ridge! I grew up in Canton, Massachusetts and all of my family still lives up there. My husband and I moved to Raleigh in 2001. We love living here!
In 1993 I graduated from Lesley University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Then, in 1996 I graduated from Lesley with a Masters in Education. I got my first teaching position in Hanover, Massachusetts teaching second grade. I taught in Hanover for five years before moving to Raleigh. Once in Raleigh, I got a first grade position at Wakefield Elementary. I stayed there until 2009 and then went to Stough Elementary. There I taught one year in Kindergarten and three years in first grade. When we recently moved to a new house, North Ridge was our base school. My children decided they wanted to transfer there and I followed along! We are so happy to be here!
Speaking of my children, my oldest Aaron is in sales at Leith Lincoln, Mollie is in her senior year at Camelot Academy and Max is a freshman at Millbrook High School. They all loved North Ridge and tell me every day how happy they are that we all made the switch to North Ridge. As a family we love to participate and watch sports. We are die hard New England sports fan. Every Sunday we are huddled around the TV watching the Patriots! All three kids play soccer so you may see us on the field on any given Saturday.
I LOVE to read and I try to read as much as I can. My number one goal is to instill the lifelong LOVE of reading to each and every one of my students. Happy reading!

Mr. Jeremy Ogburn
Jeremy Ogburn is a native of Raleigh, N.C. Jeremy and his wife, Kelli, have two sons, Andrew and Joseph. Mr. Ogburn has a B.A. in History and an M.A.T. from Meredith College. He taught third grade at North Ridge for many years, and is now enjoying being a 5th grade teacher. When he is not at school, Mr. Ogburn enjoys participating in scouting activities with his sons, reading and drinking coffee.
