Hello, my name is Candace! I began working with Wake County Public Schools in 2019, and started at North Ridge in 2023. I've worked with elementary-aged students in special education, from Pre-K through grade 5. Originally from Washington State, I moved to North Carolina in 2018, and worked as an activity director for the Autism Society of North Carolina at Camp Royall. I graduated in 2011 from Pacific Lutheran University with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and since then most of my career has been working with individuals with disabilities of all ages and across many different settings. While not here at North Ridge, you'll find me going hiking, climbing, playing board games (Settlers of Catan is a fave!), going to the library, and searching for another fun adventure. I look forward to working with you this school year!

I am a graduate of Wake County schools and East Carolina University!! I have been teaching special education in Wake County since 1999. I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren, so things are always busy at our house! My husband and I enjoy spending weekends at the lake in our camper.
