Hello Buccaneer Families! I am thrilled to be part of the Crew at Bryan Road and love teaching first grade!

I grew up in Eastern North Carolina and attended Meredith College where I received my K-6 Certification in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After student teaching in Wake County, I moved to Richmond, Virginia where I taught for 15 years. In 2019, I relocated back to my roots and officially became a Buccaneer! 

Growing up, I always dreamed of being a teacher and consider it both an honor and a privilege to spend my days teaching children and being a meaningful part of their lives. Each day, I strive to make my classroom a fun, engaging place where students feel safe, loved, and challenged to reach their full potential.

When I’m not at school, you can find me hanging out with my sweet lab girl, Sunny, or spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy the outdoors, sports, traveling, reading, serving at church, and a good cup of coffee! 

I look forward to a great year together - building strong relationships and lifelong learners.
