My name is Kendra Nicholson and I am so excited to join the Bryan Road family! I grew up in the Rochester/Buffalo NY area (Go Bills!) and received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Niagara University. 

I moved down to Fayetteville, NC after college and taught 2nd grade for 3 years in Cumberland County. After that, I moved with my husband towards where he grew up in Boston MA, where I’ve taught 1st grade for the last couple of years. But…we decided NC felt more like home than anywhere else, so here we are - back in NC!

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matt, watching our favorite sports teams, reading a good book outside in the sun, or spending time at Target and TJ Maxx with an iced coffee in hand!

I am thrilled to continue teaching firsties here at Bryan Road! I aim to create a classroom atmosphere that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning, laughter, and growth in our first-grade classroom!
