I am excited for another amazing year at Bryan Road! This will be my 28th year of teaching. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. I have also taught AIG math and science while coordinating a gifted and talented program. Before becoming an ESL teacher full-time, I provided intervention support in both reading and math for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. 

I was born and raised in Maryland. I earned my undergraduate degree from James Madison University and my master’s degree from Florida State University. My family moved to NC in 2004. My husband and I were searching for the perfect place to raise our boys and found it! Our older son lives and works in Charlotte and our younger son is a senior at the University of South Carolina.

I love spending time with my family and friends and traveling when I am not teaching. I especially enjoy walking my dog, Sadie, running and playing pickleball with my husband, and relaxing on the beach with a good book.

I truly believe everyone can learn and grow. I get a lot of joy from being an integral part of that process. I love discovering the best way to help each child reach their full potential.
