Hi Buccaneers, my name is Kelly Edwards! I've been with WCPSS for 1 year and I am excited to be a part of the Bryan Road family.

 

I am a Garner native and love living in this community.  I have an associate's degree from Johnston Community College. I had amazing teachers growing up, and they made a difference in my life, so I strive to make a positive impact on every child that I am blessed to work with during the school year.  I've always wanted to be in the classroom in some capacity and am grateful to support our kindergarten teachers by being an instructional assistant. 

 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Chris, our beautiful daughter and our 11-year-old rescue, Gabby! We love going to sporting events, traveling, concerts, cooking/baking/grilling/smoking for our family and friends!  I grew up in a musical family, so I love to sing with my family and at our church. My family had our own Southern Gospel group and traveled on our greyhound bus while growing up, so to say I had a unique childhood is an understatement! 

 

I can't wait to meet the new buccaneers and their families this upcoming school year!
