Ahoy Buccaneers! I’m beyond excited to be the new music teacher here at Bryan Road Elementary!

Music has always been a MAJOR part of my life; both of my parents are music teachers - that’s actually how they met each other - and, as a result, I’ve been involved in some sort of music-related activity for as long as I can remember (musical theatre, dance, violin lessons, band/marching band, choir, opera, voice lessons, campus record label, popular programming society, etc.). 

I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies with a concentration in Marketing & Promotion and a minor in General Business from Appalachian State University in May of 2021. Since then, I have served as the Director of Operations for the Surry Arts Council, a Brand Ambassador for Xtreme! Marketing of Pilot Mountain, NC, and a long-term substitute for the Mount Airy City Schools System. It was through my last job I realized I wanted to pursue education in a full-time capacity. My hope is that I can help the students of Bryan Road Elementary discover how music can enable them to learn and grow both in their classrooms and the world around them!
