Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Ethan Prindle

I was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in rural Connecticut. My alma mater is North Carolina Central University, where I started as a Jazz Studies major, switching to Music Education when my passion for teaching children was fully realized. Aside from teaching, my passion is playing the drums, as well as instruments such as piano, guitar, and bass. I have played drums in a few bands and I love making music with my musician friends. This is my first year teaching at MECME, although I have taught music lessons for over three years. I am excited to inspire and empower all of my students through music!

Why I teach...

I teach for a few reasons. Primarily, I am eager to share my love of music with my students such that they might develop their own love and appreciation of music. I was inspired to teach by many influential teachers throughout my education. My father, a high school art teacher, also inspired me to follow in his footsteps as an educator. Children are the future and I am passionate about being a positive influence in the lives of all of my students.

Why I am excited about Environmental Connections...

Growing up in the Appalachian mountains of Connecticut, a love of nature was instilled in me at a young age. Combating climate change and protecting the environment are perhaps the most pressing issues of our time. I am grateful for the opportunity to empower young people to be positive instruments of change in society.
