Hey there! I am Ms. Cox, a third grade teacher here at MECME!  This is my second year here, and I love it! 

I am the youngest of three siblings with two older sisters. I currently have three pets, Zeb (cat), Elton (Bearded Dragon), and Octavia (Tarantula), but I had four dogs growing up. I grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina and now live with my lifelong best friend! I am very close with my family and my hometown and visit my parents, sisters, three nieces, and nephew in Wilmington very often. I love being outside and learning about anything nature related, so our theme is a BIG deal to me! Learning outside is SO much fun!

Why I chose to teach at MECME...

I began at MECME during my senior year at NC State University for my Student Teaching Placement and absolutely fell in love. The campus is beautiful and allows for so many exciting immersive experiences that I have dreamed of sharing with my students. There could not be a better place for me to connect learning and nature every single day!
