Hey there! I was born and raised in Fairfax, VA where I lived before moving here to Raleigh. I have a younger sister and brother, and both my parents are still living in Fairfax. I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's in Criminology. I was previously a police officer for about 4 years before deciding to change careers and become a teacher. 

I am a big comic nerd, so I enjoy reading and collecting comics and statues. I prefer DC over Marvel with the Flash being my favorite character, but I also love Daredevil. I also enjoy playing videos games, ultimate frisbee, and going to concerts. My parents are both from Pittsburgh, so I have been a Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan since birth. I also root for the Lakers, Ohio State, and Washington Spirit. You could catch me at any of the local college football or basketball games this year. 

What excites me about our environmental theme...

The opportunity to go outside and explore nature with all the kids. Their level of enthusiasm about the outdoors can be contagious and I look forward to learning just as much about the environment as them.
