Hello! I'm Rosamaria Varona, and I love teaching fourth grade at MECME. 

Originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota, I recently moved to Raleigh in June 2024. I graduated from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, focusing on Early Childhood. Go Eagles!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out with my dog, Yumi. I also love all different kinds of art forms, and my biggest hobby right now is creating digital collages. I am excited to be a part of the MECME community!

I am excited about our school's focus on Environmental and Community Connections because it aligns with my passion for teaching students the importance of caring for our environment and being active community members. This theme provides wonderful hands-on learning opportunities, allowing students to explore environmental science and develop a sense of responsibility.
