My name is Mrs. Allamon. I have been a part of the Vandora Family since 2004, and I have been teaching since 1999!  I can truly say Vandora holds a special place in my heart and I love the relationships I have built with the staff, students, and their families.

My husband and I are originally from Erie, Pennsylvania.  I attended Edinboro University where I earned a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.  We moved to NC to pursue our careers and for the beautiful weather (no more snow belt!).  We have two sons.  Austin is 18 and is attending his first year of college.  Lucas is 16 and attends Garner Magnet and plays baseball.  We have two sweet, fun-loving dogs, Sadie and Charlotte.  

I strive to build  relationships and a classroom community where students feel safe, loved, valued, empowered, and smart! That community involves a home/school relationship. I want parents to feel welcome, encouraged, and informed.  Each child is equipped with unique gifts and talents.  It is my job to encourage, foster, and incorporate these gifts to enrich learning opportunities that help each child succeed. 

For fun, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, fishing, and being outside. I love to read, run, shop, and watch my youngest play baseball.  Some of my favorite things include chocolate, Mexican and Italian foods, the colors hot pink and coral, and anything beachy.
