I was born and raised in Virginia and graduated with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Radford University in 2011. In 2014, I moved to North Carolina where I began my teaching career. I taught fifth grade science for eight years, five years of that time at Vandora Springs Elementary! In 2020, I began pursuing a career as a School Media Coordinator and graduated in December 2022 with my master's degree in Library Science from North Carolina Central University (Go Eagles!). I've been a School Media Coordinator since 2021, and I am so looking forward to continuing my career closer to home at Vandora! 

 

I am married to my wonderful husband, Tim, and we live in Benson, NC. We welcomed our first child, Evelyn Hope, in November 2023 and are loving our new adventure of parenthood! We have two pets, a dog named Jack and a cat named Neville, who bring a lot of joy to our lives. When I have free time, I love to make wreaths, spend time with my family, go biking, and vacation at the Outer Banks. Some of my favorite things are coffee, audiobooks, Harry Potter, and crafting with my Cricut!
