Welcome Eagle Families!
Garner has been my home since 1997, and Wake County since 1993. I began teaching in SC in 1990 and moved to NC in 1993. My teaching experiences in Wake County have been at Smith Elementary 2014-2023, opening East Garner Elementary starting in 2007, working at Durant Elementary starting in 2005 and Apex Elementary starting in 1993. My experience includes teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grade. I love watching children grow through their reading and writing experiences. I feel privileged to be able to teach in the community where my husband and I raised our two daughters and participate in community programs, such as Towne Players of Garner, Able to Serve, and Special Olympics. My family and I enjoy spending time with our dogs, hiking and working in the theatre. I am super excited about being part of the Vandora team and look forward to working with you and your child!
