Hello, Eagles! I am the literacy coach and reading teacher for Vandora Springs Elementary School. I have been teaching at Vandora Springs since 2016, but I have been associated with our school for many years because my three daughters attended Vandora Springs. I love our school and the wonderful staff we have here. I live at home with my husband, three daughters, and two dogs. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education, and I received my Masters Degree in Reading from UNC-Greensboro.

Although I loved both schools, I am a Tar Heel fan through and through! I believe that success comes from always giving your best effort. I work with teachers to plan and implement Language Arts curriculum as well as assist them with analyzing and responding to student data. I serve on our school’s School Improvement Team. I also work with small groups of students to provide reading support. I’m looking forward to another great year at our school! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time at home with my family, reading (of course!), gardening, and fishing.
