Hello Eagle Families,
I am excited to have the opportunity to join the Vandora Springs Elementary family. I grew up in Mount Airy, NC and attended Meredith College where I received my K-6 Certification in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. After student teaching in Wake County, I decided to move back to my hometown to teach fourth grade. I taught fourth grade for two years, but I will be relocating to Raleigh for this upcoming school year to begin a new chapter in my life. I will be teaching first grade and cannot wait!

Growing up I always dreamed of being a teacher. My grandmother and I played school for hours on end for many years. I cherish those “teaching” memories. I come from a long line of educators. My grandmother, aunt, and two older cousins were all teachers and they all served as great role models. I strive to make my classroom a fun and engaging place where students feel safe, loved, and challenged to reach their highest potential.

I am so honored to have this opportunity at Vandora Springs to learn from the amazing staff and my sweet first graders. When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, playing tennis, and shopping. I can’t wait to continue my journey and become part of the family at Vandora Springs Elementary.
