Ms. April Beddingfield

My name is April Beddingfield and I joined the Vandora family in 2023 as an Intervention teacher and coach.  I have been in the field of education for over 25 years and have loved each and every year that I’ve worked with children!  I have taught Kindergarten through third grade, been a CCR teacher in special education and I’ve also directed a licensed preschool when my daughters were young.   I knew from high school that I wanted to be a teacher and I truly love being a part of each child’s journey.  I believe that all children deserve the opportunity to be in a school environment where they feel loved, respected and encouraged to do their best.  My goal is to create a passion for learning and love for school that lasts a lifetime!

I grew up in northern North Carolina around the Lake Gaston area.  I attended the University of NC at Wilmington and received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  I hold certifications in regular education and Cross Categorical Resource  special education.  I live in Garner with my husband and sweet pup, Bella. I enjoy quiet evenings, gardening, getaways to the beach and taking my girls shopping.  My oldest daughter is a special education teacher in Brunswick County and loves living at the coast.  My youngest daughter is pursuing a degree in Interior Design at ECU.

I am happy to be a part of Vandora Springs Elementary and am excited to help foster an environment of strong relationships, inclusion, happiness and a love for learning!
