Ms. Kimberly Schuh

Hey hey hey! My name is Kimberly Schuh and I have the pleasure of teaching Physical Education at Vandora Springs Elementary School! I have been teaching since 2021 and have absolutely loved building relationships with our families and teaching our students many different ways to be active here at VSE!

Being active is a huge part of my lifestyle. I have played sports all my life including volleyball, softball, track and field, basketball, golf, and even some dance (I got the moves).  However, basketball became my primary focus and I decided to play at the collegiate level at Meredith College. While at Meredith, I obtained my K-12 licensure in Health and Physical Education as well as a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science. During my time as a basketball athlete at Meredith, I was asked to join the Track and Field team. By my senior year, I broke the collegiate record for the furthest Javelin throw and still hold the record!

In my free time, you can find me cycling, lifting weights, or golfing with my family! I have completed a half marathon, triathlon, and hopefully…one day… an Iron Man! I am a huge advocate for showing young girls that you can be strong too! VSE PE is full of different types of movement activities. During K-2 PE we focus on learning locomotor movements and intro to basic skills in sports (i.e. basketball, baseball, soccer, etc.) In 3-5 PE we focus more on putting those skills into game-like scenarios by playing more team-based skill games.  We learn how to play together and how to cooperate with others. Oh also… we do push ups everyday in PE… Muscles are cool😎💪🏽

Hugs and Push ups

Coach Schuh… OUT!✌🏽
