Hello Eagles and Families!! I am so excited to be your 3rd grade teacher! I’m looking forward to an awesome year together and I can’t wait to see how you will learn and grow. I grew up in Raleigh, NC. I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2020. I have been teaching first grade in Jacksonville, NC since 2021. I am thrilled to be joining the Vandora Springs family for the 2023-2024 school year! 

I worked as a teacher at my grandma’s preschool in Raleigh growing up. This is where I found my calling of instilling a love of learning in children. I come from a close-knit family, and I carry those values of strong relationships into my classroom. My goal is to create an atmosphere where every child feels a sense of unity and belonging. Through teaching, I aim to foster values of friendship, respect, and leadership in my students. My hope is to be more than just a teacher to my students. I want to inspire them, cheer them on as they explore their potential, and hopefully, play a tiny part in shaping confident future leaders.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my sweet and silly dog, Sammy. I cherish the time I get to spend with my family and friends. I am adventurous. I have traveled to 13 countries and I am a certified scuba diver. I have a profound love for the outdoors, and I often find myself at the beach or a lake, enjoying water sports and nature. These experiences often inspire my lessons, bringing a breath of fresh air to traditional classroom learning.
