My Name is Mr. Cantrell, and I grew up in Vermont and spent the first part of my life there before relocating to North Carolina in 2002. I am a graduate of the University of Vermont and earned my teaching certification through East Carolina University.

As a second-career educator, I was inspired to enter the field of education after witnessing the deep fulfillment and impact my wife experienced as a nurse. With her encouragement, I transitioned into education, beginning as an Instructional Assistant before stepping into a teaching role in the 2018–2019 school year. Since then, I have found immense joy and purpose in the classroom.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies—especially superhero films, cheering on my favorite football teams, and, of course, reading!

I am thrilled to be part of the Vandora Springs family, and I am dedicated to creating a classroom environment that is both challenging and exciting. I look forward to helping students grow, learn, and have fun throughout the school year!
