Hello, Ram families! This is Mrs. Lassiter calling from Rolesville High School.
Don’t forget that we are selling parking and lunch passes again tomorrow, Friday, from 9-11 am. Remember that forms must be notarized before students arrive. Also, either we must have a payment through the Online School Payments option with a printed receipt, cash or a cashier’s check. We cannot collect personal checks.
While we will provide printed handbooks for students at the start of the year, we have posted the student/parent handbook for our school to the RHS website. Check under the Student Expectations section.
Next week, we start fall sports competitions at home and away. Admission to all events is $7. At home on Monday, volleyball plays Enloe and soccer plays Wake Forest. On Wednesday, tennis plays West Johnson and volleyball plays Wake Forest. Thursday, volleyball plays Heritage and soccer plays Enloe. Finally, on Friday evening, we have our first home varsity football game in a non-conference competition with Fayetteville’s Terry Sanford. Booster Club passes will not be accepted for admission to the Terry Sanford game.
The Rams Athletic Club will be selling booster memberships, RHS apparel and game passes on:
8/15 @ Opening game day for Soccer and Volleyball;
8/19 @ 1st home Football game &
8/26 @ Meet the Teacher
Soccer and volleyball fans, this is your chance to purchase the 10 game pass, which can be used multiple times per game and save on gate prices. Proceeds from all sales fund RHS athletics! Do your part to keep our “Rams Strong!”
Senior parents, we will open the Online School Payments option for Senior Fees on August 22nd. Seniors will be responsible for the $40 fee if planning to graduate in June. Seniors who will graduate in January are responsible for the $20 fee. Fees must be paid to graduate, so I want to be sure you are fully aware. Fees cover graduation activities. You will be able to learn more about this on Tuesday, September 13th at the Senior Information meeting. We encourage (and frankly expect) all families to participate in order to prepare for a very busy year. We will send more information soon.
Lastly, I want to give a big shout-out to the students and staff who attended Ram Camp on Wednesday. I also want to say thanks to community folks who came in to support the event. It was a huge success!
That will do it for this week. I will talk with you soon!
