    PTSA Meeting and Donations:  Thanks to all who participated in the meeting this week and donated items for the staff to have goodies on the first day back. 

    Congratulations, Ms. Key and RHS FBLA!  They placed 8th overall in the nation in the Business Finance Plan.  The national FBLA competition was held in Anaheim, California.

    FIRST DAY, FIRST PERIOD FIRST: We have been telling students every chance we get.  PLEASE help us and tell them also.  Students will not report to homeroom first.  They will report to first period first.  They will need their schedule and/or need to know who the first teacher is.

    Friday, August 25th:  We do not have a formal program set for the day, but we will have the building open from 1-3 PM for anyone who wants to walk the schedule with his/her Ram, perhaps meet a teacher, sign up to volunteer, pay PTSA dues, etc. 

    Bus Transportation:

    1. Bus riders should be able to log in to Powerschool now and see the route. Look to the left at the Transportation tab to find your route information.  If you do not have information, you need to register immediately!  Go to wcpss.net/transportation --> Bus Rider Registration 2017-2018 School Year to get your name on the bus roster.
    2. Here Comes the Bus is an app that will be made available to traditional school families a few weeks after the start of the school year. We will notify you of a specific date.  IT IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. Year-round and modified schools will get access before traditional schools. When it becomes available for traditional schools, we will provide specific information on our website and I will notify you through this contact form.

    Free and Reduced Lunch Applications: We have just learned that families will be able to reapply online if they prefer to do so over using the paper forms.  A message was launched on August 18th and additional information will be mailed.  Parents can go to www.MySchoolApps.com to apply.   Please remember that it is important to reapply soon in order to avoid potential lapse in free or reduced lunch assistance after the October deadline.

    Schedule Change Requests:  Remember that we will begin accepting online requests on Monday, August 21st.  Requests must meet the criteria as outlined in the summer newsletter to families to be considered.
