PTSA Board Meeting: Monday, Dec. 10th
Practice ACT to be given on December 15th: We are so excited that 239 students are registered to take the practice test. We will give reminders and more directions as the week progresses. This practice will be invaluable for students to test the waters and figure out what they need to do to prepare for the February administration. Part of knowing how to do well on the ACT is to simply understand the intent of the questions, how they are developed and how to manage the assessment (not let it manage you).
Speaking of how the week progresses: Who knows what is ahead for next week? We have no idea what the weather will bring just like you. If we have wet wintery weather, we might have issues with club pictures as set for Tuesday and the BIG night we had planned for underclassmen and their families. (It is planned to be so worth your while. Sigh.) If the plans can’t progress as planned, we will be in touch.
Reconfiguration of Junior/Sophomore/Freshman Night - December 11th: In the past, we have had three separate nights. We are pitching a change-up. All three grade levels will be in one evening and it will run something like going to a conference with concurrent sessions. There will be 30-minute sessions that you choose from and the sessions will be offered multiple times. In addition to grade-level specific sessions, we will have sessions on WTCC College and Career Prep. financial aid, ACT/SAT, college planning, military options, and college representatives to answer questions.
Staff Snacks after the Staff Meeting: Thank you to all parents who provided snacks for the staff after the meeting on Wednesday. We are so thankful for your support!
Winter spirit fun: We need a little fun before the break. All I can say is plan to prep with your best holiday socks, good-lookin’ or tacky holiday sweater and maybe a little holiday twinkle. Piqued your interest yet???

Bus Issues: The Rolesville District has had quite a few mechanical issues lately which have contributed to late pick-ups and arrivals. They want to let you know that they apologize. They also wanted to make sure you are using resources that should be helpful for managing in these situations. There is a bus app on the WCPSS Transportation website at https://www.wcpss.net/Page/35380). Also, bus updates are posted to the WCPSS Transportation website (https://www.wcpss.net/Page/1908).
