    Review

Senior Fees and Fines:  First of all, remember that all fees and fines must be paid for seniors to receive a diploma and participate in graduation.  They also cannot buy prom tickets if they owe money. The media center has provided teachers with fines slips to remind them to take care of financial business asap.

Reconfiguration of Junior/Sophomore/Freshman Night - December 11th:  In the past, we have had three separate nights.  We are pitching a change-up. All three grade levels will be in one evening and it will run something like going to a conference with concurrent sessions.  There will be 30-minute sessions that you choose from and the sessions will be offered multiple times. In addition to grade-level specific sessions, we will have sessions on WTCC College and Career Prep. financial aid, college planning, military options and college representatives to answer questions.

Math 1 and Math 3 Score Delay:  The EOC scores for Math 1 and Math 3 will be delayed until the summer.  Tests are being revised and normed this year. Students in these classes will get a letter in the near future to bring to parents with additional information.

Volunteer Registration: You are already aware that you must either register for the first time or renew your registration each year.  We need this to be done before the end of October and it must be done onsight (any WCPSS site). RHS will need your help with test proctoring and other volunteer events.  Please make sure you ask about registration for the volunteer system when you are at the school and we will set you up.

Wake Electric Annual Youth Tour:  They sponsor an annual tour and join with 1500 students from across the country to learn about electric coops, American history and government.  We had a RHS student attend last year and he was awarded a $1000 scholarship to attend. The trip is June 15-21. Applications are due on Dec. 12 by 5:00 PM.  Details can be found at www.youthtour.coop.  Students are not required to live in a home served by Wake Electric to apply.  Questions can go to Wake Electric at commuications@wemc.com.

Nov. 6th Opening:  WCPSS schools will open on a two-hour delay on election day.
