Hello, Ram families! This is Mrs. Lassiter calling with the weekly announcements from Rolesville High School.

I first want to thank Mrs. McPherson and our wonderful students for their preparation for the 4th Annual College and Career Fair. The event was a great success and we heard over and over that our student helpers exceeded their counterparts in other schools for their polish and helpfulness.

We have not received all 9-11th graders' course verification forms. These went home last Friday through 1st period classes. It is very important that students return these with a parent signature verifying the courses they selected for next school year. Schedule change requests will be approved for very limited reasons next year. Submission of the verification form is a student's last resort to change what has been requested. Also, if students requested courses for which they did not have pre-requisites but do not make corrections on their verification form, Student Services will need to make changes and corrections for them and will have to select new electives for students without knowing the student's preferences. If a student lost their form, they can print their requests from PowerSchool or write their requests down on a piece of paper to return to their 1st period teacher. April 5th is the hard deadline for verification forms to be returned.

Sophomore parents, you should receive a letter to announce that VIP for a VIP is coming to RHS on April 18th. This program focuses on safe driving practices for novice drivers. You will also find a brochure with more information pertaining to the event.

On Tuesday, April 4th, we invite all seniors and their parents to Senior Parent Information Night.  The session will begin at 6 pm in the main gym at Rolesville High School.  Please come out and join us as we share important information with our 2017 graduates and their families.

Seniors also need to pay the $40 graduation fee as well as any fines as soon as possible.

Prom ticket sales end this coming week. Please make sure your junior or senior follows through with purchase.

On Saturday, April 8th, RHS FFA will host the spring plant sale at our greenhouse. Plan to come from 8-1. Bring cash, check or debit. Prices will range from $1-$20 for greenhouse items.

National Honor Society students are offering peer tutoring during all lunches in room 3405. Teachers sign students up for tutoring, so your Ram needs to make sure he or she is communicating with the classroom teacher if he or she wants this option for assistance.

Additionally, intervention staff are offering after school tutoring on Tuesdays until 4:50. Mr. Drew will help with general studies and Gradpoint. Mrs. Robinson will help with Math I. WCPSS activity buses run to limited stops.

Those who are interested in either option need to contact Mr. Thomas at jthomas7@wcpss.net or call the school and ask to be transferred to his extension.

That will do it for this week. Make it a great weekend!
