    NEW

Change to Friday Night Game versus Franklinton:  Due to the weather forecast, the game is being moved to Thursday night, not Friday.  The game time is still 7PM.

Sign-Up Genius for Senior Breakfast: Please send items to the front office. The breakfast is Friday, August 30th.  We need all donated items by Wednesday, August 28th to allow us to take count and fill in.   The Board met Monday night and we are still in need of help to set up Thursday afternoon and Friday morning in addition to the food needs.  The Sign-Up Genius is https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B44A5AE2FA3FC1-2020

Schedule Walk-Through on Friday 1-3PM:  We know all could not make it to Ram Camp and some brand new upper grades students might also want to participate.  We will have Rambassadors to help you find your way. Printed schedules to run through the schedule will be available. This is a time to walk your schedules and find your way around the building; teachers and counselors will not be available for meetings during this time.

Bus Transportation:  Make sure you log into Parent Portal to see your child’s assigned route.  If there is no route, please submit a request for transportation on the online application located on the WCPSS Transportation site.  Remember, requests for dual stops, alternate stops, before and after care needs, etc. will begin to be received on Sept. 25th.

Carpool:  The first few days are going to be rough.  They always are. We have new student drivers who are assuming spots.  We will have folks who might be waiting for a bust assignment, etc. The routine will shake out.  Remember that carpool will take longer until we find a flow. Give yourself extra time.

PTSA Needs Your Support:  Harris Teeter wipes out links from their cards to schools in June each year.  PLEASE link your HT card to Rolesville High School again. Also, when you are shopping, they ask that you use Amazon Smiles for RHS.  It would be SUCH a big help!!!! Thank you!

Meet the Teacher:  We are planning to push out information from teachers in a different way this year.  Because it has become increasingly difficult to find a time that will accommodate so many different schedules, the teachers will be creating sites that are a bit more robust that simply sharing the syllabus and some links online.  We will link these to a page on the website and notify you that they are being populated for your review.

As noted in the summer mailer, we will have a senior parent night and a night for underclassmen parents to come and hear about topics that they choose.  More information will come once we get school underway.

    REVIEW

Schedule Change Requests:  Information regarding the circumstances where we will consider a change and information about how to request a change are found on the school website in the scrolling banner.  You will be required to use your Wake County issued account to log in.

To apply for Free and Reduced Meal Benefits Online:  Go to www.MySchoolApps.com today to apply and potentially avoid a break in service. Also, remember that there is a change that is very, very important regarding the carryover from last year to the next year.  I want to make sure families are aware. The new time limit for carryover from the prior year is 30 operating days or until the application is processed, whichever comes first. Remember that if students in the same household are on different school calendars, the deadline for  benefits will be different dates. The deadline for traditional schools will be October 8, 2019. Families will receive a meal benefits card in the mail with instructions about how to apply. Paper copies will also be available at RHS when school begins. Students may request a copy from the cafeteria manager if paper is preferred over electronic application.

Seniors who missed picture week:  We will have a makeup day on campus on September 9th.

Lunch Prices for High School:  Full price = $3, Reduced = $0.40

A and A/B Honor Rolls for 4th Quarter:  We have updated the honor rolls on the wall outside Student Services.  If your Ram was on the honor roll, remind him or her to check it out the next time he or she is in the building.
