Hello, Ram families!  This is Mrs. Lassiter calling with the weekly announcements from Rolesville High School.

Now that grades have been finalized, I think it is pretty impressive to say that 851 of our students made A or A/B honor roll for the first semester.  Congratulations to all who have made that distinction.  We will have a celebration for them this coming week.

Join me in congratulating Miss Erin Rolandelli, ESL teacher, as the RHS nominee for WCPSS Diane Kent Parker First Year Teacher Award.

PTSA will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 on Monday in the Commons.

Don’t forget that senior cap and gown pictures are being taken on Wednesday.  Students were given times on the post cards that were sent home.  We will make reminder posters of times and place them on the first floor commons.  Students will be required to pay a sitting fee in order to participate.  I will communicate with parents and students as soon as I learn more.  I have an email in to Lifetouch to ask for more information.

On Monday, Feb 20th, RHS will host one of the “All Aboard” sessions for staff and parents to explore Math 1, 2 and 3 materials that the district is presently considering for adoption.  We will be open for exploration from 3:30-8:00 pm.

Student Services asked that I remind seniors and their families that there are many scholarship options available for review in their office and on the Student Services website.  These opportunities are updated regularly.  They especially want to notify parents that the State Employees Credit Union has a $10,000 scholarship to be awarded to one RHS student who has extensive community service.

We have reminded students that the second round for the ASVAB military test is set for March 1st.  Students need to register soon.  Likewise, students who need to register for the AP exams also need to do so this month.  We have been reminding students about these assessments for about two weeks.

That will do it for this week.  Make it a great weekend!
