Financial Aid Night:  Do not forget that we have this event on Thursday evening at 6 PM in the media center.

Virtual Meet-the-Teacher:  In past years, we have hosted fall meet-the-teacher open houses.  We know folks are very, very busy and face-to-face meetings might not be the best way for a majority of our families to gather information.  We have taken a different step this year to create a virtual site that shares teachers and teaching-team information. We will load the virtual site in the very near future.  Please check the website under Parents.

Reindeer Day - Nov. 2nd:  It is time to get really busy to host our major PTSA fundraising event of the year.  We are in need of parent volunteers as well as student volunteers….MANY volunteers. Please sign up at the following link. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0b44a5ae2fa3fc1-reindeer4

Cars in Bus Lot:  The administrative team is very concerned that parents are using the bus lot to unload students in the carpool.  Carpool runs by the football field. Students are not to be dropped off in the bus lot. Please adjust your drop off if you have been using the bus lot.  We do not want to trespass carpoolers, but we must assure a safe place for buses to unload and also leave for next routes.

From the Rolesville Athletic Club:  

Golf Tourney:  Saturday, October 5th is our Rolesville Athletic Club Golf Tournament. Registration will start at Noon with a 1 pm shotgun start. You may register on Saturday $60 individual & $240 for a foursome. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Kozar at gkozar@wcpss.net

Conference play begins for Rolesville football next week. 

JV has Wakefield at home Thursday (10/10) at 6:30 pm. 

Friday (10/11) @ 7 pm our UNDEFEATED 6-0 Varsity Rams will travel to Wakefield. The Rolesville Riot has called for a WHITE OUT theme. Come out and support!

Request for Parent Feedback:  Student Services is requesting parent feedback to a needs assessment that they will use to develop programming to support students and families.

Homecoming Info:

     Class and Homecoming tees are on sale through next week at $20 each.  All sales must be made 

         online.  Go to the school website and then see the rotating gallery on the home page.

     Dance tickets are on sale for $15.  Non-RHS student guest forms must be picked up in the office, 

        in room 3804 or downloaded from our website.  Tickets can be purchased through the website’s online school payments. 

Senior Parent Night Follow Up:  We would like to thank everyone who was able to attend our senior parent night as we shared a lot of information for your student's senior year this year.  If you were not able to make parent night last night, we have posted the powerpoint on our Rolesville home page at https://www.wcpss.net/Page/27062 

College Reps on Campus:  The following colleges will have a representative on our campus to meet with students in the next couple of weeks:

Oct. 15----University of South Carolina

Oct. 25----Fayetteville State University

Yearbook Purchase:  The 2020 RHS Yearbook can be purchased at http://jostensyearbooks.com?ref=A01123709. The cost is $70 until Sept. 30th, and the yearbooks will be delivered to the school near the end of May.  The cost associated with dates are listed below:

$70 until Sept. 30

$75 until 11/15

$80 until 1/31 (personalization ends) 

$85 until 5/31

Senior Ads:  Be on the lookout! Seniors will receive a postcard in Advisory in the next 2 weeks regarding Yearbook Senior Ads. This is a great way to honor your senior! 

PTSA Needs Your Support:  Any and all of these would be a great help.

1. Please join PTSA!  Forms were in the students’ first day packets.
2. Harris Teeter wipes out links from their cards to schools in June each year.  PLEASE link your HT card to Rolesville High School again.  
3. Please link us with your Lowes Foods card.
4. When you are shopping, they ask that you use Amazon Smiles under RHS.  
5. Target Cards can be linked using code 1534.

Senior Info on Twitter:  Seniors and Senior Parents need to follow senior information on Twitter @RamsCounselors.  We reviewed this with the students at the Senior meeting this morning.  

To apply for Free and Reduced Meal Benefits Online:  Go to www.MySchoolApps.com today to apply and potentially avoid a break in service. Also, remember that there is a change that is very, very important regarding the carryover from last year to the next year.  I want to make sure families are aware. The new time limit for carryover from the prior year is 30 operating days or until the application is processed, whichever comes first. Remember that if students in the same household are on different school calendars, the deadline for benefits will be different dates. The deadline for traditional schools will be October 8, 2019. Families will receive a meal benefits card in the mail with instructions about how to apply. Paper copies will also be available at RHS when school begins. Students may request a copy from the cafeteria manager if a paper is preferred over electronic applications.
