    Rolesville High School Families,

Because we want to keep you informed, I would like you to be aware of an incident that we’ve been investigating and have resolved.

Late yesterday afternoon a letter indicating a potential threat to our school was found on campus.

We take all threats to our school seriously. We immediately informed WCPSS security and local law enforcement to help us evaluate the validity of the threat and find the source. Thanks to their help and the help of our staff, we identified the student who left the letter.

We know that many of you have heard about this through your students or social media. We wanted you to know that the situation has been resolved, and that appropriate disciplinary action, including possible legal action, will be taken.

I ask that you talk with your student about the seriousness of making threats of any kind. Equally important, encourage them to report any suspicious activity to a trusted adult at school or to you. Students and parents can also report safety concerns to our anonymous tip line, (919) 856-1911. We greatly appreciate the student who found the letter and reported it to the administration.

We appreciate your continued support of a safe learning environment for our students.

    Sincerely,

    Phelan Perry, Principal
