Dear RHS Parents and Guardians, 

The past few days have been a difficult period for staff and students following the loss of Ashlee Llagostera.  I want to thank the staff of our Student Services Department and WCPSS Crisis Team members for their support of our school community. 

Some of you are aware that her funeral service will be held on Thursday.  Funerals are considered an outside-of-school event and cannot be viewed on school property.  Students who choose to attend the funeral virtually should view it off campus.   

If your child wishes to attend Ashlee’s funeral virtually, please plan how to check your child out of school to be with you for support during the funeral.  Funerals are emotional experiences and students should be supported by family.  Students should follow normal check-out procedures required for any off-campus activities/appointments/services.

Please note that WCPSS staff may not live stream the service or attend while also working with students. 

I appreciate your understanding of the county position as well as my desire for parents to be available to provide support at this difficult time.
